-Develop partnerships with local NGOs to strengthen their capacities by sharing good practices but not creating « local AIDES branches » abroad.
-Strengthen advocacy for access to treatment, care and prevention on local, national and international levels.
-AIDES’ international actions are based on acknowledging the fact that the local mobilisation of people infected and affected by HIV/Aids plays an essential and key role in the fight against HIV/Aids.
"The international projects of AIDES aim to improve access to comprehensive care for people living with HIV/Aids in the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa by supporting the development of local NGOs."
Our strategies
The international projects of AIDES aim to improve access to comprehensive care for people living with HIV/Aids in the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa by supporting the development of local NGOs.
To reach this objective, the interventions of AIDES are based on:
-Bringing together all the actors to facilitate exchanges on good practices and experiences (South-South co-operation; like organising meetings, training courses etc.)
-Strengthening the structure of partner organisations (technical support, training etc)
-Developing and improving the spread of knowledge about NGOs (publishing papers on capitalisation, guides etc.)
-Supporting the emergence of one voice in the South on international advocacy issues (training actors in the South on advocacy techniques and actions).
-Access to care and prevention for vulnerable groups (MSM) and specific groups (in the work place).
