AIDES was set up in 1984 and was state-approved in 1990. It is the leading HIV/Aids organisation in France.
Since the beginning, the objective of the organisation has been to reach people infected and / or affected by Aids in order to organise themselves and cope with this new disease.
Our philosophy is to say that infected or affected people are not merely bystanders; they are there to initiate and lead actions, to play an active role in the health system and to be part of important public health decisions which are of direct interest to them. Together we are stronger.
