HIV in the Workplace

Date of production: 2001

Context

The arrival of treatments opened up new prospects in the lives of people affected by HIV/Aids. For example, having access to employment, finding a job again or keeping one’s professional activity are now at the heart of most HIV positive person’s concerns.
However, the latest indicators all show there are increased integration difficulties for these persons, who have to face many snags before the world of business opens its doors to them. Whether latent or blatant, these discriminatory practices show all the efforts that still have to be done for business players to finally accept to leave a place for persons who are affected by a heavy pathology.
